Clay as Art

Object, objective, objectify.

My recent ceramic art seeks transformation through process to create objects that suggest memories of transient narratives.

Digital transference of personal photographs, vintage illustrations, and embossed textures as repeated patterns onto the responsive surface of the clay allow me to create objects of permanent remembrances.

Precious windows into an intimately observed place or time.

Physical reminders of everyday objects displaced from common usage. Repetition of dreamlike images, forms, and luxurious materiality triggering obsessive desires.

Beauty in the moment.
